A Visit From An Apostle

Today Elder Tom Perry came to church. The whole stake was there. At least 800 people showed up. One of the things he talked about was teaching children discipline. He said when he was young that him and his brother really wanted a pet. Instead of a dog or a cat they were given a cow. Their dad even planted an alfalfa field for them. They would often stay up late milking the cow and chopping down the alfalfa for the cow to eat. When he was milking the cow and would spot a glimpse of the butchering block and think about how good his cow would taste. He said that the cow had taught him so much about discipline and was too special to him and his brother to turn into hamburger meat. When he was done talking there was a line of about 300 people who wanted to shake his hand. As I shook his hand I could feel the spirit.

Update on Boy Scouts

Here is a picture of my Merit Badge sash

Yesterday I got my environmental science and dentistry merit badges. These two badges make 10 in my collection. The merit badges I already have are swimming, safety,first, public speaking, family life, reading,communications, and emergency preparedness. I have been in scouts for only 11 months and I am already First class. To become Star all I need to do is participate in 3 hours of community service. I have friends who are 12 and are all ready life scouts. They are 1 rank away from being Eagle scouts.

Hunter and I are on the same soccer team. Our fist game was two weeks ago. We won 4-0. The second game was last week and we lost 1-3. We are going for the president cup. I think our team has a pretty good shot at winning.

FAMILY VACATION 09

We haven't been on vacation for almost 3 years! so I'm really excited about this years vacation. This year we are driving 11 hours to the red Wood forest in California. We might camp out that night also. Then on our way back home we are stopping by at the Lava Beds,Clemeth Falls, Crater Lake, and Mt. saint Hellens. We will stay in hotels at Clemeth falls and Crater Lake.

During our over 26 hours of driving in the car i will be playing a new DS game. I am not really sure what game it is going to be but I really want Transformers: Revenge of The Fallen or Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaur. I don't really know what you do in the Ttransformers, but Ice Age is kind of like Super Mario bros in prehistoric version. you are Scrat and all the other characters and kill dinosaurs, giant spiders, and other killer beast. you also collect acorns, but i don't know what they are for.

I will also be reading . A couple of hours ago I went to the library because I had nothing to read. I check out a book called The Lighting Thief. Almost every one I know has read it but me. Besides reading and playing video games I will be talking care of my 2 year old sister and doing my evil homework wich I dislike very much besides reading.
